Come before Winter’s Illness Procedures – Team Members
Come before Winter (CbW) is committed to providing safe, welcoming places for women in ministry to receive spiritual renewal. We do everything in our power to ensure that participants’ experiences are filled with meaningful Bible study, worship, prayer, and reflection. As with any in-person gathering, there are also some risks that come with being together, especially when international travel is involved. Among those risks is the possibility of being exposed to and/or contracting an illness. CbW does our best to reduce the risk of illness in the following ways:
-
- We strongly recommend that all team members be vaccinated against current strains of illnesses, including Covid and flu.
- Team members are welcome to wear masks for their own comfort or protection.
- Team members who develop symptoms of contagious illness may be asked to mask and/or isolate until symptoms improve. These symptoms include but are not limited to:
- Fever (100.4º F/38º C or higher)
- Excessive coughing
- Vomiting or other intense gastrointestinal distress that is out of the ordinary
- Chills/body aches
- Excessive fatigue
- Roommates of team members who develop symptoms may also be asked to wear masks to contain the spread of contagious illness.
- The requirement to wear masks and/or isolate will be made in conversation with the renewal director and ranking corporate officer on the team (i.e. executive director, chief of operations, board member, etc.). The ultimate decision for masking and isolation requirements will lie with the ranking corporate officer.
CbW will do our best to continue including any person who has been isolated due to illness as much as possible. The ill person and CbW leadership will decide together how to best respond to illness on a case-by-case basis, keeping in mind the individual needs of the ill person as well as the collective needs of the renewal. If the team member needs to isolate after the renewal or leave the renewal early, CbW will help coordinate these arrangements but any additional cost will be covered by the team member.
Other things to keep in mind:
-
- Please stay home if you have symptoms of Covid-19 or another contagious illness such as fever, excessive coughing, unusual gastrointestinal distress, etc.
- Please notify your renewal director immediately if you have been in close contact with someone who has tested positive for Covid-19 or any other contagious illness within 10 days of departure for the renewal.
- CbW will follow any local ordinances that may be in place and any Covid-related procedures that may be required by the conference facility designed to protect the health and safety of staff and attendees. Any additional health protocols will be communicated as soon as possible prior to the renewal.
Heart change and inner renewal will surely have an impact on my relationships, attitude and the ministry I’d like to start…
